Lawrence A. Golding, Ph.D., FACSM, has been a professional in the field of kinesiology and physical education for the past 50 years. He has been a continuous member of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) since 1955, and a continuous member of the American College of Sports Medicine since 1961. He holds the highest certifications from ACSM-Program Director, and Health and Fitness Director. He is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and AAHPERD. Currently, Dr. Golding is a Distinguished University Professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas-a rank only held by four other faculty. Most recently (1996), he was appointed Editor-in-Chief for the new ACSM Health & Fitness Journal. Dr. Golding is also the chair of the planning committee for the ACSM Health and Fitness Summit and Exposition.
