Thanks a lot, that sounds much better than when I told my girlfriend. All I got was "So you have to spend more money buying more stupid iron again?", then it started.

I was looking at your log and wondering - is that all the warmup you do for your pressing sets? It seems to be a little. Maybe one of the problems you're having with stalling is you go right to the work sets so fast. You might want to try 5 x 45 (empty bar), 5 x 95, 3 x 115, 3 x 5 x 143...something like that. Get more of a groove before you hit the heavy sets?

Just an idea, although the reset might work just as well.

Thanks, I've never thought of that.
I'll increase the warm-up sets, with other exercises as well.

It is shameful to tell that the reason for so few warm-up sets is due to my laziness in changing weight plates.

Talk to me when you concider skipping pulldowns because your too tired to load and unload 6-8 plates. :lol:

Eh, it happens. I'm thinking about hiring a weight boy to load and unload teh bar for me. It's becoming a workout in itself.

Just something i noticed, and hopefully people can shoot me down if i'm talking out of my backside, but you're working out every two days? and heavy total body every workout?, maybe your CNS isn't recovering fully thats why you find it hard to move up on some lifts?

Seems like this workout would be fairly tough on the nervous system?

I find that I'm better off when I squat and DL once a week, but I'm old. Maybe adding some extra rest days, or doing squat and DL on alternate workouts would help? Wouldn't hurt to try.

I'm 23. And yes, I'm now also thinking that it begins to be too heavy to do all of the exercises in one workout, too long as well. Since my activities in every day life beside the workout is just sitting in front of the computer so at first I thought I could do all of that without exhausted myself. I thought I could use this routine for a month before I move to do the famous Starting Strength when the used weights are 'heavier'. Actually it's just my antic idea and maybe some stupidity (since performance sucks).

I'll change to do it by the book on Monday.

A
Squat 3 x 5
Bench Press 3x 5
Deadlift 1 x 5
+ some arms

B
Squat 3 x 5
Press 3 x 5
Row 3 x 7
Pull/Chin-up 3 x #
+ some abs

Does it look better?
Since I am in the beginning part of a beginner, hopefully I could have that linear progression mentioned in the book.

Just got the result of my blood test. My Cholesterol (273mg/dL) and LDL (175mg/dL, almost 2 times more than it should be) are both too high. I think that doesn't sound very good.
