Green tea, well I think it has been shown to boost the metabolism a bit, but the main reason it is recommended is all the antioxidants. Just read the labels for recommended doseages.
Fish oil, again, it really hasn't got anything to do with vitamin D. Fish oil is rich in the omega 3 fatty acids, and most noteably, in the form of EPA/DHA (do a search on it). Again, read the labels for recommended doing suggestions. I can tell you however, that most cardiologists recommend 1000-3000 mg daily (I've been with my 80 year old father to several cardiologists and they all seem to agree on this),however some heavy sports trainers recommend somewhat over this amount.
