Have recently started taking creating on my workout days (30mins before workout and aprox 15-30mins post workout). Was just wondering what all of your thoughts are on taking it on my off days?
Any insight would be great!
David Barr has written some good article at t-mag on creatine. Barr's "Research suggests that creatine usually needs to be taken only after workouts. http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=459369
Barr goes on to note that due to the time it takes to get into your system, taking it prior to you workout does little to nothing for you.
Barr also notes that by taking it only after your workouts, creatine intake can be maintained without having to cycle on and off of it.
So, it is not necessary to take it on you days off. Also, you'll get better results taking it immediately after your workout rather than before.
