Trader Joes sells this stuff. Has anyone tried it? It has 21 grams of protein and one gram of sugar in a 12 oz. can.

If i remember, the 21g is about $1.99 per can. Kind of expensive, but maybe compared to other brands, it isn't. I think they also sell a 35g can for about $2.49. Check the aisle where the health bars and whey powders are.

Bob,

It not only about how many gram of protein per serving but the quality of the protein. Proteins are like tools. You want the right tool for the right job.

Example, whey protein is the best protein for a post work beverage. It get back into you system much faster.

Caseinate protein is more of a time released protein that works best as a pre-bed time beverage. It trickles into you system while you are in a fasting sleep.

The cost is dictated by the quality of the protein as well as some of the other ingreadients in the protein powers. An example would be aminogen, a digestive aid. As someone once said, "It not how much protein you consume that counts, it how much you digest."
