Greatly appreciate any help with my meal plan

Breakfast
fiber cereal with skim milk

snack
orange

lunch
sliced deli turkey (no sandwhich)

snack
apple and grapes

dinner
Chicken breast with brocolli

then two protein shakes (one before weights, one after)

This is what I've basically been following to try and build muscle but my main goal is to lose weight. Should I add a lot more variety of foods? and also, I'm a sucker for crackers and pretzels etc... anything healthy enough to eat thats not loaded with salt?

I'm not an expert but it seems like you're not eating near enough. Just eyeballing your purposed diet it looks like you would be just breaking 1000 calories which is not really enough for anything. I would add a few more substantial meals in there.

If you are perfectly healthy with out high BP then don't worry about salt.

crackers and pretzels

Only have those before and after lifting.

No, if he's aiming to bulk then yes but hes cutting.

That's not even enough to cut, unless you are very small. That is a starvation diet that is just going to kill your metabolism.

I'm just worried that eating too much will just prevent any weight loss at all.

Not eating enough though causes your metabolism to crash and no weightloss at all. You could get away with it if you were to cycle it but it would eventually stop if you were to keep calories that low for a long peroid of time. Also what you are eating right now is not good diet food. Fruit is good for you but not as just a meal you need things like full fat plain yogurt, nuts, peanut butter, jerky, salads, cheese, etc. Also supplement w/ vitamins and fish oil.
