That formula doesn't work for people with high body fat. But since you would be big and tall anyway, I think 300 grams is probably about right. If you are eating less carbs you should be getting plenty of protein. Let's say you eat 100 grams of carbs a day. That's 400 calories. So you probably have at least 3000 more. Let's say 60% of that is fat, it is 1800 calories, leaving 1200. That would be 300 grams of protein. You are probably eating a little more than that though. I would bet you are half and half with fat and protein.
