Until I see a study, I'm a bit skeptical as well. But it's quite plausible that the AA amounts that happen to be present in bovine cow milk whey might not be just the perfect ratios for muscle growth in humans.

Incidentally, previously I mentioned Isopure having more BCAA and Glutamine, but actually I see you can buy Glutamine powder as well. ON makes both...

I'm pretty sure that I'm consuming protein in excess of my needs, so I doubt that there are any AAs that I need extra of.

But whether you're getting enough BCAA/Glutamine from 50g of whey is not the question. The question is whether workouts would be improved without, for instance, that extra 3 grams of Tryptophan you also get from whey.

As far as whey products go, ON's new Platinum Hydrowhey appears to perhaps now be the overall leaded in BCAA... though twice the price of their Gold.
