Stu posted this yesterday as an answer, and is full of good links and info on the topic. Definately good enough to keep.

Carb cycling means to alternate between periods of low carbs and periods of high carbs. The idea is to be in a calorie surplus most of the time and a calorie deficit part of the time. While you are in surplus your body will build muscle and while in deficit it will burn fat.

There are various strategies to do this:

http://www.t-nation.com/findArticle.do? ... 5-180-diet

This one is the simplest:

You can also follow a paleo or evolutionary type diet for long term stable fat loss and muscle gain.

Tim I meant "While you are in surplus your body will build muscle", not burn.

I recently found this link to a forum discussing Paleolithic diets. Here is the link to their faq page which has a lot of new links that readers may be interested in:

The simpliest one might be the most simple but for average people like myself who arent looking to body build and don't have all the time in the world to eat 8 meals a day let alone be able to afford the supplements have to eat, get fat then lean. I'd love to be able to do that, that sounds like a great idea and pretty awesome but I'll have to stick to the old fashioned way. Thanks.

I was researching online about glucogen and here is something I found.

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m ... n13790098/

There are some new tips about vinegar and alpha-lipoic acid. (the article is not new)

Hope this helps.
