Post subject:  What to eat

I am new to sport in general, I started because I want to gain weight.
I have two questions.
1) What should I eat before a workout? In dietary guidelines its written what to eat after but not before.
2) What can I eat when I am not in home? I spend half of my day in college, I don't know what to take or buy there

1. you pre workout meal should fuel you through your workout and normally it's simply your regular meal. It should be balanced with carbs, fat and protein. Some people like a pre-workout supplement but that's optional. What is important is that you have protein with a couple hours one way or the other of your workout.

2. Plan your meals in the context of the entire day so you meet your overall goals. If one meal is less than optimal, adjust your other meals to compensate. Leftovers from the day before are usually a convenient way to get your lunch. Just make an extra serving and store it in the fridge.

before is whole grain waffles with honey/apple.

after is some type of combo of brown rice, protein, veggies.
