|Post subject:||The Keto-Vegetarian|
First, I apologize if this has been discussed/mentioned before, yet after searching the forums, I came up with nothing.
I've become increasingly interested in the Keto approach, given the benefits such a lifestyle carries. I've attempted this now for the last 2 weeks, yet as a vegetarian, I really struggled. The bulk of my calories have traditionally been from wide range of vegetables, quinoa, and legumes (chick peas, lentils, beans, etc.), yet have read that in order to achieve sustainable ketosis, one needs to avoid quinoa and legumes. So I dropped them and brought fish back into my diet.
Am curious if there are any other vegetarians/pescetarians out there who have tried a keto approach or if any of you currently are? If so, what does your diet look like? What snacks do you reach for? Any advice or clarity you can provide would be greatly appreciated here.

It's hard to do keto as a vegetarian as most plant foods contain significant carbs. That doesn't mean people don't do it. https://www.reddit.com/r/vegetarianketo/
