Is it possible that playing a lot of basketball or sports inolving ur arms can affect shoulder (mostly lateral deltoid) and arm development? And even if it does, will everything be back to normal in a few days?

Wow,I'm not sure of what you are asking, and/ or why you are worried about deltoids. Basketball is a good sport, very good in the sense that it is both aerobic and anaerobic. Lots of shorts bursts, with almost the entire body envolved. Yes, you use the delts, but not with any loading per se. Just in a power approach. Should it be detrimental to a body building scheme? I would highly doubt it. Lots of college and pro Basketball teams utilize strength coaches, that have them on weights for sports performance enhancement. My advice, is to do some research on the subject, and go with a proven program.

Golden M- Why are you so obsessed with lateral deltoids? It seems like you've started 10 threads in the past just for them!

Are you asking if basketball will have a negative effect? If so, I have a feeling you are searching for reasons as to why you arent growing. I bet you're overtraining.

I play a lot of basketball as well and my advice would be to pay attention to proper rest. Basketball can be a big drain on the shoulder muscles from putting your hands up so much of the time, so it is going to slow your recovery. If you are losing progress it means you are not taking this into account when considering rest periods.

If you need more rest, take it. Only do shoulders once per week. If that is too much, do some light raises one week and then hit the regular shoulder routine the next.
