So I started lifting weight about 6 months ago for the first time in my life in an attempt to lose the fat and sculpt myself a decent body...I'm doin great so far as I have gone from 225lbs to 185lbs and I'm starting to see some muscle definition....all from just watching what I eat and hitting the gym..go me!
now, I'm addicted to hitting the gym and I was wondering what you guys think of my current routine and if you think I should make any modifications to it....
I'll have to preface this by saying that I use the gym in the office of my apartment complex, which doesnt have a lot of equipment...just various dumb bells, treadmills, and one multi-purpose machine...
Routine A: Dumb Bell Bench press (3 x 15), Dumb Bell Bench Flys (3 x 15), Machine Chest Press (3 x 15), Machine Shoulder Press (3 x 15), Front Raise (3 x 15), Side Raises (3 x 15), Shoulder Shrugs (3 x 15)
Routine B: Lat Pull Down Wide Grip (3 x 15), Lat Pull Down Close Grip (3 x15), Bicep Curls (3 x 15), Overhead Tricep Extensions (3 x 15), Calf Raises (3 x 15), Leg Press (3 x 15), Lunges (3 x 15)
Monday = A Tuesday= B Wed = Off (sometimes Cardio) Thur = A Fri = B
What do you guys think? Should I vary my reps and sets and use different weight to see more reults? I have the motivation to get my body to where I want it to be but I'm just confused about how much weight I should lift and for how long...
