Some basic info. I'm 5 11 208 approx 15% bf and have been working out intensely for the past 2 years usually hitting the gym 5 days a week + a few days of cardio. I don’t take steroids or anything unnatural just protein, glut, and creatine. I can put up some good weight. Few examples just to show im somewhat not a newbie are 300+ bench, 100lb db overhead tricep extensions, 180ish T-bar, 50lb concentrated bicep curls and I try to stay around 225lb squats just high sets/reps.
After finishing a 2 month rotation of just maintenance lifting I hit the weights heavy again. I’ve been doing this for the past 3 months and I think I pushed it a little too hard. My workout for the day was heavy back then hit chest. I was on my 5th exercise (16 sets) and planning to finish with some wide grip pull-ups. It was my 2nd set and on my last rep I held it in the up hold position to long and my shoulder goes rip, it was loud enough for my workout partner to hear it, awesome yet scary.
The pain is the around the lower part of the scapula(god I hope thats right), almost feels like a lower trap muscle, and travels down my tricep to the top part of my forarm but all the swelling is in the front near my clavical and hurts the most doing abduction exercises.
For the last 2 weeks I’ve been doing nothing but legs and cardio. I tried some exercises recently and am limited to only pull down motions for triceps, only standing bicep curls/hammer curls, and the only chest movement is an incline motion (no flys of any kind, flat bench, decline or even a seated press). And of course no shoulder or back exercises of any kind.
I read these forums daily and to be honest I have alot more faith in you guys then my jackass doc that talked to me for 5minutes and said MRI, which is what I expected but he could have asked a few more questions....any suggestions, opinions are welcome and dont be afraid ask as many questions as you want. I want to get this done with because not walking around sore all day is killing me, i love the feeling. Thanks.
