the past few session i have not been making progress... like one session i do 12 rep 10 lbs curl to warm up then 12 rep 20 lbs one set then second set i go to 9 rep and then fail.. then 4 day later i only make it to 8 rep then fail.. what am i doing wrong? same thing with bench i have been stuck at the same weight for weeks... cant hit 12 rep on the second set.. i do push pull every other day
Initially I thought that you have hit a platue, but streghth levels are DROPPING and this is a sign of overtraining.
Post your entire program and tell us how long you have been doing it. Every other day may be difficult to keep up. Also, how long have you been training?
I think the best thing to do is take a week OFF and then start a new program. You might even do the same exercises, but change the rep/set scheme. For example if you did 3 sets of 10-12 for each exercise, try changing it to 4 sets of 6-8.
