My first time doing weighted chinups and dips

chinups:
4 reps BW + 13%
2 reps BW + 20%

Dips:
10 reps BW+13%
10 reps BW+20%

Not great but a hell of a lot better then I thought it would be and still a personal best

Bench Press 225!

I've been chasing this since November of 2011, got my one and only injury the first time I tried it back then, and finally made it today.

This is the 4th Thursday in a row I've loaded 225 onto the bar. Each of the past 3 weeks I missed, but I said I was just going to load it every Thursday until I made it. Today was the day.

Now if I die tomorrow I will have died happy.

3/12/13

Matched a previous best 115 x 1 in the barbell press.

Beat a previous best of 85 x 8 with a set of 85 x 11 in the barbell press.

Been a while since I've lifted near my previous maxes, so this felt pretty nice.

Been a while since I've been able to get on the forums :(

But I hit a 155# clean today. No jerk b/c I didn't know if I could get my pinky fingers under the bar and I wasn't about to drop it from 5'8" in the air.

I've had some knee issues which have barred me from squatting for the last... month-ish. So today my knees felt fine and I managed this. I can probably clean more, but not being able to do squats for a month has made my front squats pretty weak.

BTW nice work guys. And that 325 pendlay row is real nice :)

Front Squat 3 x 115kg
This was my 1RM roughly four months ago. I'm impressed. How's your squat, Robert?

mimsy, have been doing volume stuff so if anything I'm probably weaker.

Don't you worry though Dubby, I've got all year to give you a run for your money.

OHP: 147.5

Beats 145 originally set on 11/21/11, 16 months ago. Seems a long time to gain 2.5# but pressing took a back seat for a long time. Even 6 weeks ago I could barely get 3 at 130, so progress on OHP has been rapid lately.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with two things:

1) Stronger back
2) Learning to use the stronger back as a base to press against

Extremely satisfying. When you break a PR you always feel like the sky is the limit after this.

I can't conceive of Matt's weighted pullup numbers.

But anyway, squat: 300x2

First time at 300+ for reps.

Was going to do 295 today but was "feelin it" and went for the 300. Maybe those clams Bob has me doing helped :headbang:
