Thanks. ... By the way, the box I've been using for box squats is exactly 12" high. I measured it yesterday. My regular back squat, front squat and overhead squat are all slightly deeper.

I had a chorus of angels smiling on my chins session today:

43 total reps across 8 sets
8 complete sets of minimum 5 reps!!
3 sets of 6 reps in that session!

I only stopped after the 8th set because the 5th rep was a grinder. If I did another set I might miss the 5th rep and that would have spoiled the satisfaction.

Yay!
50kg (110lbs) curls x 3 reps (with a bit of body english).
Next goal: 5 strict ones

I don't know, is this pretty good, or still weak?

It's double what I can do, so sounds pretty good to me.

Let's go Diana! 18 more pounds on your squat and you get to play with the big weights!

Went to a real (hardcore) gym yesterday for the first time.
Did some fooling around with a friend, at the end of an hour long shoulder workout:
85kg (about 190lbs) clean and press.

Could have done 90kg or 95kg pretty easily in the beginning of the workout.
Felt good.

Also: 140kg (about 310lbs) deadlift

Is that a push press, or do you pause after cleaning?
That is a high number, nice job.

Thanks man, I appreciate it.

I pause after (power) cleaning it and then I do a push press/push jerk (I don't know the difference).

A jerk is similar to a push press except you do a second dip to catch the bar while your arms are locking out overhead. In both push presses and jerks, you pause after cleaning. The only floor to overhead movement that doesn't have a pause is the snatch.

Putting 190lbs overhead, any which way, is an accomplishment. Congrats.
