Deadlift: 2x335lbs using hook grip

Ken: Ok Matt I'm going to break my all time PR here, 10 pounds over.

-- Ken does rep --

Matt: Looked good, do another one

Ken: Huh? Um, ok.

-- Ken does rep --

For the past 6 months Matt has called my sets when I start rounding my upper back (which I cannot yet quite tell by myself), this is the first time he has ever told me to do another one when I was ready to stop.

Holy $h1t, man. You're really skyrocketing. Congrats!

Anyway:

Today I did some biceps work.. And though I'm not really the 'biceps training' kind of guy, I found out that I can do hammer curls with pretty good form(no swinging, just a bit of momentum, slow eccentric) with 60 lbs dumbells. I can probably do the 66 ones next time.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. Especially from someone who can curl 30kg easily.

65kg/143lbs hang snatch x1

Meh, curls are pff. I'm just worried now that you'll leave me in a cloud of dust on the deadlift highway, if you continue your pace, hehe.

The internet is wonderous. I am now competing with a man I have never met or seen that possibly lives several thousand kilometers away(I'm guessing Holland due to Wouter, or possibly Belgium, in which case it's probably 1000-2000 :)

No worries, you can probably do 200kg already. I'd be happy if I can do that by the end of the year
My bar can only hold 160kg max, (so I'd have to go to a gym to continue my pace).

Challenge:
First to 100kg clean and press and 75kg snatch? (I do hang clean and power jerk, and hang snatch, but anything goes: just get the weight up).

(also, I live in Belgium)

Ah, that sucks man.

At any rate.. I'm sure I can do 200 kg, but I haven't. However, I'm pulling it monday. Notice how I didn't say "try", hehe. :)

Also: Challenge accepted! I have never ever done the snatch, but I'll try it out on friday. I have never done the clean and press either, but I did sets of 4 with power cleans with 70 kg last time I tried it.

I look forward to trying the clean and press for sure. I need to start going ATG in my squats, I guess.

Ding Ding!!

Double bodyweight deadlift!

1x345 lbs, and I weigh 169 these days.

Matt says it was clean and smooth, though it was slow for sure.

After doing the rack pull in for two sets of 4 with 220 kg, I realized I was about 5 kg away from doing sets with 500 lbs. So I went ahead and threw 5kg on.

Rack pulls: 2 x 4 x 500 lbs.

I love rack pulls.
