This is something from another topic board here. It just tickled the hell outta me. I'm going to add it to my wall of quotes.

Anybody else have good ones?

Gosh, you set the bar pretty high.

I'll try?

Quote:
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame,
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

by Emma Lazarus

I'm so proud.

Crap! I finally become famous, and it's for spouting total nonsense!)

I quoted something that Stephen said to a troll named Poly (Oscar, you face high trolling standards here) several times. I can't remember what it was--Stephen, do you?

funny you mention me in the same breath. It was my goal from the get go to be the undisputed Troll on Exrx. not to lose weight or get stronger, or post video about my form and/or gym. But, to just Troll. Naturally, I had to eliminate te competition. I believe you will find this to be his last post. And you are welcome.

Another one I have written in my cubicle is

Thomas Edison on the light bulb was something like.. I did not fail 1000 times, I successfully found 1000 ways that a light bulb doesn't work.

No one said that you can't fulfill more than one roll here. We want to keep you around because you are both funnier and far, far less annoying than he was. And less whiny.

A couple from my wall:

"We are all agreed that your theory is crazy. The question that divides us is whether it is crazy enough to have a chance of being correct." - Niels Bohr

"Science is the foot that kicks magic square in the nuts." - Scratch (from PVP-Online)

and, the first one to get put up on the wall (inspired me to start the wall)

"If you're not making enemies, you're not making progress." - Bill Koppes (my first office mate and mentor)

Roughly translated to "You cannot effect positive change without disturbing the status-quo"

A good weekend project for you, Hoose. Everyone knows that you start the greatest threads, anyway!

Going to the in-laws this weekend and Dallas on Monday. Won't be back until Thursday. I won't have time.

"The difference between a smart person and a wise person is that a smart person knows what to say and a wise person knows whether or not to say it." -- Quote found on the wall of a recreation center office in Berkeley, California.
