"I'm not here to beat around the bush. I'm here to cut that bitch down and grow a tree!"

John Corless

This was me yesterday when I was thinking of dropping weight in cable cross overs. Instead I raised the weight to 80 lbs per and got 8 reps. Hahaha made sense when I said it

There's another great one that I saw once, but I can't remember what it was. It was really deep, though.

Excellence isn't a goal to be obtained, but rather a standard to be maintained.

I'm dying to know where you were introduced to Aristotle. I was taught Aristotle at college, and the college was Jesuit. So far the only people I meet who are interested in Aristotle have been educated by Jesuits, but this may be the selection principle operating in my memory.

Or did you just like that quote?

“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”

Not sure who said this but I seen this online. Definitely fits.

found one that's just too good to share (thanks wikipedia):

The actor Richard Harris was lying drunk in a street in London. A passing policeman asked what he was doing and Harris replied "The world is spinning." When asked how lying in the street was going to help he said, "I'm waiting for my house to go by."

What a hero. Here's one more Richard Harris bit of genius: Harris died of Hodkin's Lymphoma in 2002, and on the night it happened he had to be stretchered out of a hotel restaurant. As he was being stretchered out he told the diners "it was the food!"

Richard Harris was awesome.

Two from my son yesterday:

"Deadlift will always feel heavy, even if you can do it."

"I'm doing it!" after rep 1 of 5 of his first body-weight deadlift, done rather tentatively because he wasn't sure if he'd pulled an adductor. He completed all 5 reps without complaint.
