I'm extremely confused on this topic, would someone be able to explain:

What they are, and the difference between them?

How to achieve them?

And finally, why you would want them?

read the responses to the other thread you posted. Newbs do not need to worry about that. It's good that you want to learn, but it's really not something you need to care about.

Eat, lift, eat, sleep, repeat. That's all you should care about right now. Your time would be better spent researching your routine and diet.

Okay, I'll take a stab at it and I might be completely wrong. Neurogenic tone is talking about how tight (for lack of a better term) the muscles remain. You can improve the tightness by training because your body is more prepared to work.

Myogenic tone refers to the increase in density and size of muscle fiber in response to training.

How to achieve them - train. Why would you want them? Who wouldn't want a more defined muscular system?

Yeah exactly, when you say train I was wondering in more detail, optimum sets/reps/recovery, having looked at the differences between strength, hypertrophy and endurance sets/reps/recovery I was wondering which applies to myogenic and neurogenic tone?

Where did you get those terms? I never encountered them before this thread.

From his other thread, I think that he got them from a class. If the class leaves concepts so unclear that you have to go to an online forum to figure them out, either they aren't that important, or there's something wrong with the class.
