It's not cramps
I just find that I flex my legs throughout the night. It's like I can't relax them, as if I'm setting up for a press, glutes tights, legs pushing down. I wake up with sore legs. Last night, I finally was cogniscent of it before going to sleep last night and made an effort to relax my legs. I sleep on my side. But whenever I would turn, I'd tighten up my legs and leave them flexed until maknig an effort to relax again.

Any ideas ?

I think they call that, aptly enough, "Restless Leg Syndrome." I am not making that up.

Wish I could help, I had that before I started lifting, and it went away immediately when I started squatting.

Ken's right. RLS sometimes is related to other sleep disorders, sometimes stands on it's own. Get it checked out. Really. By a doctor. A real doctor, not just someone who claims to be one on a forum.

ok, you win.
I'll stop posting benign conditions, so you can stop scaring me.

According to wiki, I ain't got it. No sensation exists. Furthermore, I don't go to Dr's. My ankle and tennis elbow healed just fine, thank you very much.
