Hi dudes!
Maybe I have some problem. When I do pistols (one-legged squat) with left knee everything is all right. But when I do them with my right knee I hear strange sound, it's not like clicking, it's more like something is tearing apart. Image Every time I do them with that knee when I'm near the bottom, and it last until I return to that position in different direction.
I don't feel any pain, so maybe if I do them regularly something will become stronger and I won't hear that sound anymore?

I think it's great that you can do pistols.

Yeah, if there is no pain, I'd keep doing them. If any hint of pain, you'll need make some changes.

Any of that sound when you do conventional squats?

Yeah, and I learned how to do them after one day (I did them in a doorway, it's really good to learn how to descend). I thought it would take me months because everyone speaks strangely about them, but maybe I have strong legs :con:

I don't hear anything with any other squat. I guess I'll continue doing them with low reps, until I see some changes.

Thank you very much Doc!

I forgot to say, do them throughout the day (grease the groove). I did 4-5 times 3 or more reps in a doorway. And after that I did singles 3-4 times a day, and after one week I tried 3 reps with each leg and everything went fine (except the sound).
