Everytime I do any chest exercises I feel like my front delts are extremely tight and consequently can never workout my chest the right way anymore.jlmoss
As jl basically stated, you have an imbalance. You need to work more of your posterior chain.
I've been trying to stretch out my delts but haven't had any progress with loosening them up and they still inhibit workout out my chest (bench, pec fly, incline bench especially)Along with working the posterior chain, you need to stretch the anterior chain.
Movements that will do that are:
1) Dumbbell Bench and Dumbbell Incline Press.
These allow you to drop lower than a barbell bench press.
3) Pec Flys
At the end of some sets of the exercises above, remain in the bottom part of the Dumbbell Bench/Incline Press, Dips and Pec Fly for 10-30 seconds. This will give you a nice stretch.
Nothing happens overnight. Be patient. Just keep working it.
