Avoiding meat because of GM feed is not doing your health any favours. Yes, it's a good plan long term, but until you find a good substitute, eat the meat. Wild fish should be on your menu. Canned sardines are a safe, cheap food. Look for grass fed or wild sources of meat. Depending on where you live, people here may be able to give you suggestions. Of course Google works too.
Maybe, but I think it's a lot safer because you avoid a potential health risk. I've included fresh fish but in the case of canned foods you should consider aseptic packaging. Also, grass fed animals are very expensive and I'm only a student living with my parents.
