Could anyone suggest an exercise plan for someone with congestive heart failure? I am recently diagnosed and while chf patients are encouraged to exercise I can find little with which to build a specific plan. Cardio and resistance training are both indicated. Any input / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
mac

The principles are the same, you just have to be careful not to do too much too soon. A good strength program and whatever cardio you like will do. Just focus on getting stronger and faster, but do it gradually.

Yeah, slow for sure. Thanks for the reply. I do have a basic understanding of the principles but I guess I was looking for specifics. I think I can probably adapt much of the information from the beginners page here, though. Thanks again.
