Yeah, I'm getting an Econo Prowler to use with my clients. Maybe me too, sometimes, but the one at the gym is already all set up!

LOL, I just found a comfy spot on my livingroom floor and laid there for like 2 hours.

Does it come with anything besides the prowler itself? Like a dragging strap, etc.?

It isn't that hard. Take a piece of rope and tie it in a knot. Then twist it so it looks like a figure 8. Clip the chain to the middle of the 8 and then put your arms through the two loops. I took some athletic tape and taped the loops together. It seemed to make it more comfortable. I'm going to ask around my work to see if we have any old fall protection harnesses that are past their life span. I'll then modify it so I don't have the leg straps. It will be perfect since it has the collector ring on the back.

Sounds like a good idea.

I'm going to get some rope, some chain, and a heavy duty clip to clip into that attachment lug at the front.

Oh, and I'm going to either paint it or put some stickers on it. Probably both. :)

Nylon webbing is available at rock climbing places, and not terribly expensive. It might make a more comfortable harness than rope.

It came in yesterday. I did my first work with it at lunch. I just got back in. The actual work sucks, but the immediate 5 minutes after you are done sucks even more. It continues to suck during the shower and after the shower. I probably wasted my time even taking one as I continued to drip sweat for another 30 minutes. It's been 50 minutes since i completed my last push. Sweat is no longer dripping down my crack, though I am shakey and my legs aren't working right.

Yeah I learned quick it isn't a summer toy for me.

I had heat stroke pretty bad roofing one summer in college. Ever sense I'm really kind bad in teh heat.

I can't push the sled in this heat, I'll die. Fall it will be mine though.

I got mine, by the way - a nice red one, with black skids. It came with a pair of extra replacement skids, too, which I wasn't expecting.

Also, mine has wider skids than the econo prowler at work; mine has skids the same size as the Prowler 2 does. I'm not complaining, I like them.

I've only given it a few experimental pushes, because my street is high-enough traffic to make it a problem to push there. But it (barely) fits in my car, so it's going to part of my mobile gear for training clients.

There is a reason my extra prowler day is a Friday - I push it at 5 am, indoors, with the fans on and pointed at me, before I start my early morning boot camp.

They show up, and then they get to push it too. Share the wealth!

Well, this is a disappointing development. Somehow, since starting to use the Prowler, I've dropped 14 pounds. It sure can't be because I'm eating right (See Proud Moment thread in the Lounge). That puts me at 288. I signed up for a PL meet for 308. I am now closer to 275 than 308 and losing 13 pounds by September 11th is a realistic goal. Now I have to seriously think about losing some weight. I figure if I can get down to 280, I can easily sweat the other 5 pounds off the day of weigh in.

how's your strength in comparison? Isn't it a good thing if you've lost weight but stayed as strong?
