Power was off a lot last night. It was a clear night, but ordinarily with all the security lights on the station the light pollution is makes it difficult to see any except the brightest stars. So when the power went off, my wife and I went out and spent about 15 minutes laying on the lawn staring up at a brilliant sky.

Also, there is a sort of firefly here, smaller and not as bright as the ones in the mid-western US. We don't often see them, again I'm sure because of all the ambient light. But with the power out, we saw a lot of them, including some high up in tall trees. Amazing to still be seeing new things right in our own yard even after 9 years here.

I live in Glasgow, so there is a lot of light pollution here, but when I go back up to the highlands where I come from originally, the town I live in is in a quaint, country setting. The night skies are beautiful. You can often see the aurora borealis in winter, and couple of years ago I saw a meteor shower. That was really cool, although I was a bit worried about the impending Triffids invasion

spilled some milk on my laptop.
Disconnnected, turned off, removed battery, took out 9 screws, got frustrated trying to pull it apart. Put screws back in.

Seems to be doing fine.

I read about that after turning it back on :bom:

I figured if it did not fry instantly, then it was going to be ok. Maybe it all stayed over the keys, or funneld into soem safe zones and spread/dried up. Had this since Summer 2006, 4 hours/day. Thought I had lost 'em.

Standing on a ladder for eight hours sucks. My whole posterior chain is in agony.

Are you painting your house or something? My back was never so sore as when I laid new flooring in my house.

I got stuck in my t shirt tonight after the gym. Took me half a dozen attempts to get it off. Pretty embarrassing

Sign of a good work out!

I Remember once destroying my upper body so much I couldn't lift my arms high enough to shampoo. I lathered up the wall in the shower stall and tried to rub my head into it.

Didn't work super well.

haha I remember doing my biceps far too bad after a lay off, this was a long time ago though so I wasn't doing much with them at all (not even pullups) - and the doms the next day were truly shocking. Anyway - couldn't straighten my arms, had to lean toward the phone on my desk and pick it up at an angle hehe - funny/horrid.

And yea done the shirt thing after the gym, the worst is trying to put collar down, I was so close to asking a guy in there to flip it down for me but thought better of it hehe - took one arm out, did collar, put it back.

Jason, I was almost crying from laughing so hard.

On a not so related note: my $h1t floats, almost always
