Yeah ... Jim Corbett is one of my favorite authors. I have all six of his books.

never read him. My favorite is Chuck Palahniuk. Which one do you recommend if I was to read one?

Both are good, and both are hunter/writers. Corbett is best known for hunting man-eating tigers and leopards in India durring the first half of the 20th century, although he was also a conservationist (there's a national park named after him). Capstick was a professional hunter and game ranger in Africa in the 1970s. He wrote for several hunting and gun magazines as well as writing books.

If you go with Corbett, I'd recommend starting with "Man-eaters of Kumaon" (his first book). If you go with Capstick, I'd recommend "Death in the Long Grass."

Is this work related? Is there a war there? Is Canada invading Ukraine?

I'm actually in the Ukraine now. Since the wall came down, Canada and the US have been helping the previous Warsaw pact countries with their military planning. I just got here today but so far I've seen Serbians and Americans. I expect tomorrow there will be people from most other Eastern European countries. We're practicing some field tactics on their behalf and the Canadians and Americans are helping out with some specific expertise and some staff activities.

You can read more about it here: http://www.nato.int/cps/en/natolive/topics_50349.htm
and here: http://mil.in.ua/novyny/tryvaye-pidgoto ... ident-2012 (you'll have to translate that page)

The least anywhere? Or just on this forum?

I was thinking that I'm the least interesting. Maybe I need to work on it a bit more.

It all depends on your perspective because I find what you guys do is interesting. Not that I'm not enjoying Ukraine but it's really just a job.

I have considered joining The Dull Men's Club, but haven't gotten up the ambition.

that's an interesting point. Why is it when you first meet someone you always ask what they do? Do we really think that it's one of the most defining aspects of a person?
