"Most humane? The quickest way possible. Use a brick to crush the head - it is an immediate painless death. Brutal and gruesome for you, yes... but it is quick and humane for the mouse." - hoosegow

I was going to suggest a hammer, but I suppose a brick could work just as well. Realistically, if you want a humane way of killing mice, I'd suggest staying away from sticky traps entirely.

It's kind of ironic how in western countries lions have traditionally been associated with courage and nobility, while in Africa they're traditionally associated with witchcraft and lycanthropy.

Ironic or curious?

What about Asia?

Robert, just nail it with your 9. Take it outside first. And make it late at night when the neighbors can't see who fired.

I don't know, although I do know Indian royals liked to hunt lions.

Being from the UK, I flat out don't understand the gun law arguments. The US has more gun crime than any other country because of their gun laws. I do understand that a certain amount of it is "pandora is out of her box and it's pretty tricky to stuff her back in" though.

All countries have gangs and lunatics but where the availiability of weapons is restricted, said gangs and lunatics only tend to get hold of knives and close range weapons. I think public fear goes hand in hand with expectation, so if some psycho wandered into the cinema over here and nail bombed it, I dont think there would be public panic and fear in going to the cinema. You have to know your onions to even make a nail-bomb, where as any loon can learn to shoot. If you sold nail-bomb kits in the local supermarket, though... just watch that public panic meter shoot through the roof.

I may be wrong, but that's my thoughts on the matter...

Well, and the asiatic lion is where we get the "King of the Jungle" from - not African lions. I also believe the bible references about lions are for the asiatic, not african.

The murder rate in the UK has always been lower than that of the US. However, in recent years I'm told the UK murder rate has been climbing (correct me if I'm wrong), while the US murder rate has been dropping since the 80s.

Mexico has very restrictive gun laws. This hasn't prevented the cartels from acquiring a wide range of weapons.

I for one, Mr. Jones, would never call you a pansy.

Are you actually suggesting you'de prefer bombs to guns?

"You have to know your onions to even make a nail-bomb, where as any loon can learn to shoot." - teafan

Have you ever actually used a firearm? Any idiot can shoot a gun, but it takes time and practice to acquire proficiency. Explosives require no skill to use. That's why they're so popular with groups like Al Qaeda.

Also, it's not at all difficult to make a pipe bomb or similar explosive device. You can find directions on the internet.

In biblical times there were lions in Southern Europe and the Middle East. In fact, there were still lions in parts of the Middle East and North Africa until pretty recently.

Supposedly the last European lions died out durring Roman times, which is probably no coincidence considering lions were very popular in the Roman arena games.
