So the story about the gas explosion in Kansas City today? Well, it seems that it took out the server that handles our mission's financial records. I'm trusting that there is plenty of off-site back-up. It's strange that events in a news story on the other side of the world affect me. Our field financial officer (who works on the same campus as the hospital is on) couldn't do her work all day.

I got a new shotgun today. It's a Stoeger Uplander (side-by-side) in 12 gauge with 28" barrels.

hunters and sports-shooters with the highest privileges may own semi-automatic weapons like m16. and they may own pumpguns and sports rifles. the average citizen is not allowed to own a rifle or pistol in germany.

M-16s are full-auto. Did you mean AR-15s? ..... How would one get these special privileges?

yeah, i meant AR-15.

you have to make a request to get a card for owning weapons (in this case the green version). best chances to get it are to be a hunter or to be a pistol sports-shooter. then you have to make a request for every single weapon you want to buy and buy this weapon in a peroid of a year to get it legally registered.

hunters can have infinite weapons. shooters only two pistols and three rifles.

another option is to make a request for the red card for weapon collectors, but there you have to proof that you are collecting weapons or ammo for cultural or historical reasons. then you have the chance to get the right to buy any weapon you like.

two nights ago I had a very sensual dream involving Pink. Pink the singer.

I would have mentioned it yesterday; but I heard if you talk about a dream there is no chance to continue it the next night. Like a hex, or something.

Last Saturday I used the following coaching cue for a female client doing deadlifts,

"remember the tickle-monster".

I love the art of coaching, but I think I need my t-levels checked or something.

i think only the common hunter shotguns are allowed, which are obviously muzzleloaders. no shotguns like benelli m4 or so are allowed.

She's quite a new client (7 weeks). When she deadlifts she has a very loose upper back, wants to round forward (even with a neutral lower back) and shove her shoulders way infront of the bar.

The problem in that case is not firing up the lats. Usual cues didn't really work. So, I went up behind her and said what would you do if I tried to tickle you right now (under her arms, obviously). The automatic reaction is to "pull the scap into the back pockets". It instantly clicked and she said, "so i just need to remember and watch out for the tickle monster" (you can tell she's a teacher - of 5-6 year olds!).

I only need to say, "tickle monster" and it changes everything. It's brilliant. As weird as I feel saying it, it makes me realise how much I love to coach.

I think I stole the tickle cue from Dan John but i'm not 100% sure.

Considering Rippetoe would have barked at her to "shove her tits up" I rather think you picked the right cue.
