The upgrade has probably messed up the cookies on your phones browser. Google a way to clear the cache and cookies for your phone.

I suspect i'm not the only person who has noticed additional animated advertisements in the forum template. I understand the purpose and revenue potential for these, and if they support the operation of the site, so be it. I support well placed non-intrusive advertisements. I've only made one contribution to the support of exrx.net - It may be a little longer before i can make another.

Could or would it be possible to place multiple ads aligned horizontally in the header, and if necessary a similar 'bar' arrangement in the footer.

Currently my view displays an ad: in the header, below the last visited stats, below the forum title, between the reply buttons and quick reply tool, beneath the search bar, beneath the phpBB tag.

The additional single ads do cause a pretty substantial increase in the 'height' of forum pages. I'm an active person but sometimes too much scrolling tires me out.

Is it possible to consider a more compact or condensed display of ads. I'm sad to say the template i'm looking at currently has a number and placement of ads that approach being highly intrusive if not disruptive. Positively, i'm sure that the newer software makes these types of modifications much easier.

My 10 cents, for consideration.

Well lucky for you James, just wants them all to rotate in one place. So I just it that way. The other way was just an experiment so he could see the possibilities.

Oscar,

How long are you taking to write your posts? And are you using the Quick Reply option or the Full Editor?

Do you get normally get logged of from the forum if you are just browsing/reading?

forum inactivity timeout was the same as the previous version, 1 hour. I have now set it to 2 hours. That should be plenty of time.

IM--I have noticed that, whereas before the upgrade, only the OP could post on the journals, now I can post on anyone's journal thread. Don't know that it matters much, but I noticed, so I thought I'd mention it.

Yea, I knew about that from the beginning. This version just doesn't have a journal MOD. I was unable to find a work-around too. So I am just hoping people leave other people's journals alone.

I did make it so people can lock their own topics in the journal forum. You just have to unlock it to post in it again. So that is something you can do, but I am hoping people will leave it alone.

What do you think about making default theme blue?
Blue is the best colour, it calms us... You don't want us breaking our monitors or something, do you?

Mine is blue. (grey/blue really) I like it. What color is yours?

Well, it's grey/bluish... There are some blue smilies and some stripes...
But it could be much bluer!
