Post subject:  Dumbbell Raise

Hi,

I found here in EXRS the Dumbbell Raise, a Deltoid Lateral exercise. I liked it because is tagged as Basic but I had not found further information.
How good is it?
Are there concerns about joints as there are with the Upright Row?

I think it's tricky to not turn it into a traps exercise. For me, it's alright, I'm just not sure it's getting the lateral delts. Perhaps I'm using too much weight

Slight bend at the elbow, pinky higher than thumb and you're fine.

are you talking about lateral raise or db raise ?

fwiw, on lateral raises I find using cables and one arm at a timer isolates lateral delts better than double dbs
