Ok wanted a little change of pace so I decided to move the workout log over here. I was keeping it at marunde muscle. I'm an amature strongman competing in the under 231 class and would like to turn pro in the next year.


I'll start by listing my current goals:

Current PR -> Goal

I want to hit these goals before 1-1-10.

Is it possible? We'll see...

Event Training Day

My training partner is going to amature nationals next weekend, so it was a taper week for him. I just looked at it as an unload day. We've been training events really heavy for the last month, so we went about 70% on everything.

Yoke x 50ft

675 easy no belt

Farmers Picks (no walk)
225 each hand

405 (I actually walked these about 10ft.)

Log Clean and Press
195 x 3 all one motion (think snatch)
215 x 3 one motion
245 x 3 clean and press
265 x 3 easy but shut it down

Stones to 56"
240 one motion
280 one motion
353 miss dammit!

Events Day

Warehouse was very cold so lots of warmups

Viking Press/Farmers Walk Superset
210 x 5/215 each hand pick and hold only
260 x 5/215 each walk 80ft
300 x 3/265 x 80ft
320 x 3/308 x 60ft these are o2 tanks filled with water. 616lbs of unstableness is hard to handle1
360 x 1/351 each hand x 80ft PR!! these are solid tanks (no water).
390 x 1, 420 x miss/351 x 60ft in 14.xx seconds

Stones - ran out of time here, but did some rounds with the 240 and 280 stones to 58 and 54"

265 x 5 Wanted more here but I think I was too fried from training events yesterday. It felt like sh*t. I may need to deload.

Felt very tired today. Think its lack of sleep. I've been up at 4am everyday this week for work.

couldn't finish second set.

Farmers Walk
Went up to 308 worked on speed here for 3 sets

Stones
Had tacky trouble so did a run of 240/300/280/330 and called it a day.

605 x 2 missed the third, weight got too far back, wanted 5 here, these were touch and go, I've got a show coming up where I'll need to train this way. Usually, I go dead stop each rep.
605 x 3 had to redeem myself

^^ was supposed to pull 560 for my last set of three+, but I was feelin pretty good.
