Ok I have been killing it in the gym and seeing good results. I am doing a 5x12 routine and putting in a lot of time doing both cardio and having an active lifestyle. In the past month I have almost done 200 miles of cardio....I guess that's not a lot if you were to do cardio every day buttttt I don't.

I want to do the 10x10 workout GVT soon. But I don't want to lift vaguely like the big compound lift I want to do a lot.

Anyone have any recommended GVT information? I want to do this and do it hard. Any input and or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

John Corless

i know I mentioned this to you before John, but get it done! It sucks when you're doing it, you'll think of all sorts of excuses why you deserve a rest longer than a minute but just grit your teeth and go for it.

I only did it for squats and deads, doing something like this:

week 1: 10x10
week 2: 10x10 (same weight as week 1)
week 3: 8x8 (heavier weight)
week 4: 10x10 (same weight as week 3)

and so on. Not exactly the GVT program as written but I had better size gains than anything I've done before. In 6 weeks I put on about as much size as the 6 months before! I even had to replace loads of underwear, because the old stuff didn't fit anymore. How's that for a progress indicator?

Try it, you'll love it. I liked it so much that I think my training pattern now for the rest of my life is going to be 2 months HIT, 1 month GVT, 2 months HIT, 1 month GVT and so on until infinity

would resist adding volume, if you are pleased with results with less volume.

I did my first GVT With squats.....all I have to say is wow. I wasnt using a lot of weight last night but 225 lbs wow....kicked my ass.

10 sets of ten with 225 wrecked me the last rep was like helllllll me and my workout partner currently have about 70 videos on youtube of us lifting.

I worked out solo yesterday so there was no video but heres a video of me doing 21's with a 15 lb dbell!!! You know you kill your self when you can barely get 15 lbs like that! I was dead!!!

There are specific reasons why experienced lifters like Robert and John would do GVT. John is clearly not pleased with the results he's been getting with his previous program.
