One of the fire fighters I train donated a decomissioned 2" diameter by 30' long fire hose. I capped both ends and filled it with sand and water. It's gonna be awesome.

Me? Or Jason?

He is merely excited that he as acquired a useful piece of exercise equipment. I am merely curious as to how it is employed.

YOU, on the other hand, seem to be imagining some sinister or nefarious implication in our brief and innocent exchange. Could you explain yourself?

Sounds.... Interesting? Deffinitly keep us posted on that - what you do with it, how brutal it is, etc. I'm planning to make a 'Slosh Pipe' this weekend. I planned to make it last weekend but couldn't find a 4inch PVC pipe. They actually had products sitting IN 4 inch PVC but they never actually SOLD 4 inch PVC so, I need to try somewhere else this weekend.

Go to a plumbing store or a building supply store like Home Depot. It's a common size around here. It shouldn't cost more than about $20 to build.

I don't think we have 'Home Depots' but the place I tried was similar (B & Q, it's called). They had thinner PVC but just not what I wanted.

All going well i'll be at a plumbing store tomorrow to get it.

Thanks

I've been trying it out the last couple days. Basically I filled it with sand and water. It weighes maybe 100 - 150 bounds. What I've been using it for thus far are slams. Basically, I anchor one end and have them pick it up and slam it to the ground as hard as they can. Just like you would with a manilla rope. It works great as an anti - extension core exercise.

I'll also be using it for various drags and arm over arm pulls. When I get time, I'll record some video.

I was referring to Nunn and his twisted instrument of torture.
