I dunno why but I always wonder what everyone does as job. From what I gather, Jungledoc's a doctor in Papa New Guinea, KPJ does something with marketing and personal training (absolute estimate, please don't take offense if I'm wrong!), Nightfall's at college, as is robertscott, maybe RobertB too. Hoosegow something to do with security, Frogbyte, computers? Pdellorto, trainer full time? Stu, canadian equivalent of MOD, don't know what you call it sorry, Nygmen, accountant? This is just off the top of my head, tried to think what Ironman does but I can't think of something you specialise in, you know a lot about a lot in other words! I'm gonna take a guess at something with computers, software related.

Anyone else I literally have no idea and find it fascinating! As for me, just at uni doing a Bsc in exercise and nutrition, next year doing a Msc in physiotherapy.

I'm curious about this too. I know a few. You got me right. KPj does web design and management for a travel agency, or an organization for travel agencies, and will (I predict) eventually be a full-time strength trainer. You've missed it on Hoosegow--I'll bet he's the one that most will be surprised by, if he reveals his dark secrets. pdellorto has worked in IT, was an English teacher in Japan, and now doesn't mention anything but training, so I think he's doing it full-time. Yeah, nygmen is a tax account, the kind of person who I am glad that they exist, but I wouldn't want to be. And yeah, Stu keeps Canada safe for democracy, but I don't know the details. Probably a Major General in charge of all Special Forces.

A few I know (or think I know) about. Kenny Croxdale and Jason Nunn are both exercise professionals, Jason in his own gym, and I think Kenny is the strength coach for a college or university (and has authored several articles, some of which can be found on T-Nation). TimD--he has given clues, something about welding and also merchant marine. I think he's retired, but does some part-time jobs, like drive a taxi.

JML just graduated high school, and is off to uni in Eastern Washington in the Fall. JPS is aslo a student, I think. I always picture Proper Knob as a school teacher, for reasons that I don't remember. Jebus is a student, high school, I think. Wouter too, I think.

I'm especially curious about Stephen Johnson. He lives in NYC, but I don't think he's given any clues to his career, so I'll guess he's an investment banker on Wall Street. MattZ must have a physical job that helps to support his strength, maybe stone mason. Guesses: Poly--night club bouncer; Rucci--corporate lawyer; the California Angel--advertising sales; and RikBlades--limo driver.

Pretty much right about be. Marketing, working for a travel technology company (our customers are mostly travel agencies), and Personal Trainer by night, and weekends, currently trying to build a big enough client base to cover the bills so I can do it full time.

Not too far off. I'm a musican, i play the durms for a living. Although i have given people drum lessons on and off for many years, and am trying to sort out some teaching for the new school year in September.

I work for a large IT company - they give us engineer titles but in my opinion its just a slightly advanced form of admin - we set up printer servers, create mailboxes - essentially when our customers create an office we are there to get it all running with equiptment, servers, networks, user accounts, broadband lines for home users etc. But I don't visit the site itself.

Very comfortable job - realistic/practical managment, if its quiet they trust us to keep an eye out for work but can sit watching dvds/headphones/exrx.net... etc, i.e. good old fashioned geek relaxation, no stupid web blocking stuff (except obvious law-dodgy stuff)

Happy with it - everyone wants more money but I certainley don't want to be the blackberry e-mails on a sunday evening type

Well, I started out a molecular biologist, got my PhD in cardiovascular medicin (I'm not a medical doctor though, my research was all genetics), did a post-doc in gene therapy, got an administrative position in the academic field, and now I'm back at my alma mater with the long fancy title "Scientific Administration Coordinator" which means I don't necessarily have to do the adminstration myself but get to coordinate it and tell other people how to do it

I'm responsible for grants reports and applications, and I also get myself involved in alot of science communication (web content, annual reports, newsletters, posters etc.). The non-profit organization I work for coordinates international neuroscience research.

As a hobby I make jewelry (I wanted to be a goldsmith when I was little but my parents made me get a "proper" education) :)

It's not too late! Hobbies can grow into second careers or retirement occupations!

I'm a lowly staff officer at a regional Army HQ.

You're close Doc. Retired Navy (US). Worked for 15 years after that for Hughes Tech Svcs/Raytheon on a Govt contract (at sea platform doing ASW) as a tech (Communications/Sonar/Unix sys admin). Now supplementing my retirement by driving a taxi.
