I didn't really mean to say that you're doing it wrong. It's your journal, you can do anything with it that you want! I just thought it might be more useful to you if you kept a record of your lifts. You can abbreviate if you want. "8x45" for "8 reps at 45 pounds." Saves some typing.
No man, it was a good idea!

What happened on the front squat? Have you done anything to work your way up to it? You can do "goblet squats" which is holding a weight in your hands against your chest. You can use a dumbbell or a weight plate or a kettlebell. You can start as low as you need to.
No, I just jumped into them I really didn't work up. I just thought they wouldn't be much different.
Honestly, my knees felt great last night. I didn't have any joint or shooting pains. I just couldn't do them.
But yeah I'll defiantly do the goblet's

A lot of people find that it's uncomfortable to hold the bar in the "catch" position. At first you can just practice holding it for a few seconds at a time, and gradually increase. Some gyms have a light bar (15kg, about 32 pounds) that might be easier to start with.
That's what I have. Its a 35 though. and I also have a 15 I'll start with that one first.
