Wll, just my opinion, and I went back to the section in the weight training section here that addresses it, but I see no reason why you couldn't keep M-W-F with a 2 day split, Heavy, Light. You just wouldn't finish it in 7 days, would take 9 days or so for a cycle, and nothing out there is set in stone that you have to finish in 7 days. What I'm describing is (you were talking push/pull so I'll use that) M- Push heavy, W - Pull heavy, F - Push light, M - Pull light W- repeat cycle with periodization implemented. I certainly wouldn't worry about it. Just give it an honest trial and see if it works for you.
