Events day, didn't get any sleep last night so I was basically going through the motions

240 axle clean and press x 12

Truck arm over arm pull 80ft, slow

Farmers walk 250 x 160' with turn at 80'

Felt terrible. Shut it down.

340 x 3 - was good for at least a couple more, but the weight slipped forward while I was lowering it. Dropped it.

Training partner's worst events are pressing events, so we've been really hammering them lately getting him ready for nationals.

Worked up to 350 x 1, attempted 400 no go.

Last week was hectic! I did get some deload work in, but no time to log. Last week I hired 2 new trainers (we call them exercise specialists), pulled a fire truck, started the company at a second location, spoke at women's conference, and trained my normal clientele. Wow! Anyways, back at it.

*Apparently, I learned a great deal about exerise physiology in school, but they never taught me to count. I was supposed to do 340 x 5+ and accidentally loaded the bar to 350. Stupid state schools!

I've been bored with my training, so I decided I'll give the Texas Method a try. I figure I'll either get stronger or overtrain. We'll see.

I know. Iknow. I've been lifting, just not logging. I figured out pretty quickly that the Texas method as prescribed did not fit well with my event training. So, I made a little variation. It looks like this.

Sunday: Events
Monday: Recovery
Wednesday: Intensity
Friday: Volume Day

I think this will work better.

11/17
Squat - was supposed to work up to a 5rm today, but instead decided to see how many reps I could get with 605. Just for S & G's. I ended up with 2 reps. I think I could've gotten a third, but I hate failing so I racked it.

Bench
Worked up to 365 x 5

269 x 3
309 x 3
329 x 3
