It will be an onerous task logging all that food and sleep, hope you can stick with it (I'm horrible at keeping track of what I eat)!

I know.
I'm hoping that it will substantially slow my grazing down. I have time throughout day to wite it down; transferring shouldn't be too bad. The level of detail may suffer.
I also plan to use Fitday and track macronutrients. I don't anticipate doing all this food tracking for more than ... eh.. maybe a few months, depending.

Congrats on getting started with the journal, the home gym and the fitness plan!

The journal is primarily for your own benefit, so no, it's not narcissistic! However, it's nice to have others follow your progress and make helpful comments. The simpler and clearer your journal is, the more people will read it, and have some chance of commenting. So it's up to you how much detail you will put in, but you'll increase participation if you keep it simple.

Ah, thanks for tip!

It is sort of serving as a diary for me, but yeah, I imagine that keeps the readership down. :lol:

I may tone it back as I get used to this.

you say you're replacing fruit with veg, please don't tell me you're trying to cut out fruit?

no, not at all.
I used to eat fruit about 5:1 vs veggies.
I'm eating less apples and bananas. I'll still average two-three fuit servings on most days
Blueberrie + Yogurt is one of my staples.
I should eat more melons too

It's really more about increasing the volume of veggies, I should have emphsised that aspect more in the post.

phew, I thought you were guilty of one of my major nutrition pet hates: people cutting out fruit because they think the fructose is going to make them fat. Really shakes my soda, but I should've realised you're smarter than that, so I apologise.

I do appreciate your interest. I'm loging all I eat. That is the pain in the butt, but so helpful. I'll use that as motivation if need be in future "gain too much fat, you're writng down your intake again, boy!"
I was not even going to weight myself in the interim, but like noted, I was getting noticeable weaker and felt smaller. Thought I could use a check.

There will be a bit of "What I think I learned" and a mix of thoughts and questions for easing into a longer term plan. I'm also strongly considering adding a weight training log, to support staying with a program at least 8 weeks.

controversially, I don't think when people switch about their routine that it's as bad as a lot of people think it is. As long as you're still doing certain key lifts and really bustin' ass when you do your workouts, then you'll progress

clarification: I did weigh myself. I was not going too. But did initially because I thought I needed the reinforcement. Either I'd show progress or feel a need to step it up. Well, the results supported the reality that I felt weaker.

As far as changing around a lot, while keeping prmary lifts, which I do. Anecdoteally, I dont' think it's hurting my progress to any meaningful extent. The ratrionale for my decision is more about learning what protocols and exrcise selections might be most effective for me at this stage. And that has been hard to determine thus far
