I need to get better at this logging thing. I've decided that the Texas method was not working for me. With training events, it was just too much. I hate to dump a program after only a few weeks, but I can't afford to lose poundages and overtrain. Plus, my training partner just qualified for the amature Arnold, and the weights are super heavy. That means I'll be training super heavy as well. So, I'm going back to my old program which is my own variation of 531

Squat
425 x 5
480 x 5
545 x 5

Squat/Military Press/Horizontal Pullups + Fat Gripz
5 x 10
did 335 for first two sets of squat, 245 last three. 135lbs on military press

worked up to 324 x 1 I got it on my 3rd attempt, hence the flipping it off afterward.

worked up to 469 on hip thrusts as I was still using my bumper plates.
Did 5 sets

*Saw these several times in Brett Contreres' blog and figured I'd give 'em a shot. I think I'll try them out for a while.

Got a free downloadable interval timer from rosstraining.com decided to try it out

:45/:15 intervals with 2min rest between
Ab rollouts

320#Sandbag carry

Aweful...but the interval timer worked great...

Was sick with the stomach flu all last week. Tried to lift, couldn't.

First day back was events this morning.

Yoke
Worked up to 835 for about 40ft. Felt heavy.

Axle
Worked up to 280 x 2 then 215 x 20 clean each

Frame pick 760

I did as well as expected given the fact that I was very sick this week.

Sorry it's been too long since I updated, but it's Q1 in the fitness industry which means I'm working my tail off. Still lifting, just not posting. Here's how the week went.

Deadlift:
575 x 8

Hit a 345 pr on log press

Bench
340 x 6

Squat
545 x 7

Pretty happy.

Worked up to a 770 but dropped it after a few feet.
