20 years old, 5'9", 194 lbs

my sob story: so about two years ago, I was involved in a car accident that left me with a torn left ACL, half-torn left meniscus, a fractured left shoulder and rotator cuff. because of hectic schooling (it was around the time of college entrance), I did not vouch for surgery until August 2010. The surgery was done on the 27th of August so its been roughly 6 months thus far. I've done moderate to little real exercise in the elapsed time, and this is not including the rehab stuff the doctor forced me to do.

unfortunately, before my accident i did not film much of my workouts so this is one of possibly three videos i have filmed. it was filmed in 2008.

this was filmed somewhere in December of 2010, 3-4 months after my surgeries.

although i'm no stranger to weightlifting, much of the motivation, the anger, the passion, and the drive is lost :(
i'm scared to squat because of my knee and shoulder, and even more scared of the bench, but we'll see...

i'm going to try and record and log everything i do instead of just keeping numbers in my head. hopefully this will ignite me to get back into fitness again. D:

3 months later lol... finally feeling good! its currently my sophomore year in college and finals are about. after study grinding for 4-6 hours (lost count), I decided to go hit some calisthenics...... sort of...

- 8x8 pylo pull up

- 8x15-20??? hand clap push up

- 8x????? maybe 5-6 one handed pylo push-up

the temptations of weights were too strong:

- 3x5 pull-ups w/168 lbs...... i originally thought it was 180 lbs til i check my phone log :( was pretty disappointed

- 3x8 ring dips w/135 lbs

here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWdYyUqC4ug

wrists aren't strong enough yet so i wore wrist wraps... maybe in 3-4 more sessions they will be impervious to the impact. i would like to get a +200 lb pull-up sometime in my lifetime. the most weight I have seen a person do (internet or real life) is 202 lb is on youtube and it is by this guy ---> (http://www.youtube.com/extremistpullup). check the man out if you haven't heard of him. also check out (http://www.youtube.com/user/Fazioenterprise). i'm going to start my cycle by enhancing my body's ability to absorb force and improve explosiveness and these were the two guys i drew my inspiration from.

so the current goals are:
- a 200 lb pull-up
- all the crazy stuff Fazioenterprise was doing LOL. i'm kinda on the heavy side but w/e. believe = achieve

Be carefull with weighted pull-ups especially with your past shoulder problems.
I have started a workout log for my pull-ups you should check out.

its been 3 days, roughly 6-8 hours of sleep in-between. finals are finally over.
i did 2 dynamic sessions in less than 24 hours; they were breaks from studying for exams.

- 8x5 one handed push-ups with claps. 16 sets total

- experimented with handstand push-ups and other Fazioenterprise stuff (which were mostly unsuccessful lol.. not filmed)

- force training for upper body

- 3x8 dumbbell press on stability ball

- dumbbell row

- 30 minute walk (not filmed)

- eatened banana (not filmed)

- shoulder prehab/rehab stuff etc. (not filmed)

Overall, a crappy day because of insufficient sleep and food. i was kind of zzzzing through the whole routine.
