The only thesaurus I use is my brain. The only exception to that is when I am doing some sort of creative or fiction writing and there is some reason why I need to avoid any repetition of certain words, or follow some sort of rhyme scheme or meter.

I never really said much about what I thought here, because the topic was someone's article.

Reading some of the transcript above, I would say that I mostly agree with Guyenet, provided he isn't cherry picking his studies.

I've been reading Guyenet long enough to assume that he's not cherry picking and he's willing to look at all sides of the argument.

Oh yea, I said "solipsism" too. Four, four syllable words, that's practically like using a 16 syllable word. isn't solipsism a type of philosophy where you say the only thing that you can prove exists is your mind?

did I get it? It's tempting just to Google it but I want to test my knowledge

You got it. I think a lot of people understand a little about philosophy. It seemed to be a popular elective even among those of us in engineering and business. Of course I had to look it up.
