I really like my gym for the most part. It's a small gym that I got a free month in when I moved here(new county, automatic pamphlet of coupons) and ended up staying 'cause it's pretty cool.
Like: Even though the guys who work there aren't the most informed people, they are pretty cool guys. I've only been in one gym with heavier dumbells. Heaviest is only 120 lbs, though, but it's heavy enough for me as it is. It's small, which means it's seldom so busy that I have to wait. They have good quality barbells with a 'rough' grip that doesn't seem to go away too easily.
Dislike: There is a handful of complete imbeciles that go there. One that annoys me the most is a tiny, very 'unfit' guy that throws 200 kg on the smith bar and squats about 4 inches down for a few reps. Then he walks around like a baws. I have to restrain myself not to headbutt myself into submission. I can't use chalk, but for those heavy deadlifts, using the paper towels actually does wonders(Does anyone else do this?). The smith machine doubles as a squat rack and it isn't the best, but it works. I have to get the bar from the bench press, however. The music is fv(k terrible. But most of the time I'm too much "in the zone" to really pay attention anyway.
