Oh, then I don't feel bad, since I'm not the least ashamed of baking. A slab of apple pie to go with a cup of black coffee? Mmmmm....

I actually thought that "says the baker" was some obscure literary or pop culture allusion. I googled it for hours. Well, I googled it once. Just found some dumb fairy tale about a mouse with it's tail bitten off. Sigh. Maybe I'm pwned after all.

I don't know if there is a connection, but there is a Hebrew proverb that goes somewhat like "The baker shouldn't comment on his dough".
