I had to search way down the list to find this thread, so I thought I should make it sticky.

My son isn't a member of the forum, so he can't brag about himself (and he's not much for bragging, thus leaving me with the responsibility of doing it for him), so I'll just tell you that he just got a long-sought PR on bench of 315.

When you convert that to pounds, it's a big DL!

Congrats!

I missed this last time, that's a good lift. 3 plates is what I consider to be a man-size bench.

has the little tyke started training his legs yet?

Yeah, as a matter of fact he has. Nothing to do with his dad. In fact he was reluctant to admit to me that he was squatting and DLing. The influence is from his best friend/roommate/lifting partner. I don't know what PRs are for those, but I don't care about that as I do just that he's doing it.

I'm hoping to bench 2 plates someday.

so that the novices aren't getting scared, when they see your high records, i post a lower personal record:

22.10.2012:

bench press: 3x5x60kg (132lbs)

Good job! And you never have to apologize or explain your numbers--if you're working and improving your PR is just as good as anyone's.
