If I wrote that for someone, I'd only change one thing - I'd tell them to only go for the single if they felt really strong that day, or the top set felt really easy. If I was doing it with a client, I'd have them do the single if the top triple looked clean and fast, without any real slowing down of the bar between rep 1 and rep 3. That way, I'd only be pushing them when they were good and ready for it, but I'd never be sending them home either pushed too hard or not pushed enough.
