I have come up with a new rule.

If you have a string of 2 or more posts in a thread, all but one of them MUST be a reply. The rule doesn't apply if someone else has a post in between yours, or if it has been 24 hours or longer since you posted in that thread. The Matt Z style of posting would also be an exception. Like where an afterthought is separated from the main post.

The main point of this is to avoid people splitting one big post into 10. If you are going to look stuff up, keep your post open or use the edit button.

I have a lot of afterthoughts and get criticized a lot for posting after myself. Is this rule directed against me?
