This calculator can be used with electronically controlled ergometers that delivers a specific work rate somewhat independent of pedal rate. On these ergometers, for example, the load on the wheel increases if the pedal rate decreases maintaining a specific work rate. - steady state submaximal aerobic exercise
- leg cycling between 50 and 200 watts (300 and 1200 kgm/min)
- arm cycling between 25 and 125 watts (150 to 750 kgm/min)
